Campground Rules
- Check-in starts at 2:30 p.m.; check-out is 1 p.m.
- One camping party per site, up to eight people.
- You can't hold a site for someone arriving later.
- Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Generators may run from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Dogs must stay on a leash no longer than eight feet. See rules.
Firewood
Gathering firewood is not allowed: downed wood stays on the forest floor. Local Boy Scout troops sell firewood daily from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day at the woodshed near campsite 132, and they will deliver to your site if you pre-order. Outside those dates, buy from the camp host or the ranger station. Check the agency's alerts before you light a fire: burn bans limit fires to the fire pits, or stop them altogether.

Winter Camping
Millersylvania is one of the state parks you can camp at in the off-season. Sites 1 to 7 and 226 to 248 stay open all year. Water is shut off in most of the park from about November 1 to March 31; fill up near the dump station, where the winter water supply is. The hookup sites keep their water. See hours.
The Group Camp
The group camp holds 20 to 40 people, tents only. It is rented together with Kitchen Shelter #4, which has a wood stove, a sink and power outlets. A standard restroom is a short walk away. Reserve it through (888) 226-7688.
The Lakeside Cottage
For a roof instead of a tent, the Lakeside Cottage sits on the shore of Deep Lake. It was first built in the 1920s and sleeps up to six: two queen beds and two twin beds, with linens provided. The main floor has a living room, a bedroom, a full kitchen and a bathroom; the upstairs is an open loft with sleeping alcoves. Outside there is a covered porch, a picnic table and a fire pit.
- Check-in 4 p.m., check-out 11 a.m.
- Reserve up to nine months ahead, online or at (888) 226-7688.
- No pets and no smoking inside. State Parks discount passes don't apply.
